About Linda Cagle:
Linda is a native of Kernersville, NC, and for many years considered photography as ‘taking pictures’. She became more interested in ‘photography’ when her husband and best friend, Tom, upgraded to a new camera and gave her his old DSLR. This allowed herto enter his world of adventure, and she began to understand why anyone would get up at 4:00 a.m. to see a sunrise.
Since 2009, when she retired from the stressful IT profession, she has devoted more time to becoming a better photographer. The joy of seeing the wonders of nature through the lens has given her enormous pleasure. Her primary photographic interest is landscape; but, she occasionally shoots wildlife, particularly the wild horses. She has also done some sport photography, and was one of the volunteer event photographers for the Forsyth Cancer Center’s fund-raiser, Athena’s Run 5k for GYN Cancers (www.athenasrun.org).
Photography recognitions include: overall Grand Prize Winner for color photography at the Dixie Classic Fair; 1st place winner for color photography at the Dixie Classic Fair; and 2nd place winner for landscape photography at the Grandfather Mountain Nature Photography Weekend.
Photography is something Tom and Linda enjoy doing together. They travel throughout the USA and capturing the wonderment and the beauty of nature. No matter where they go, they are always in awe of God’s handiwork.
Linda is a member of Carolina Nature Photography Association, Triad Region.
